{"id":96,"date":"2023-02-12T18:18:14","date_gmt":"2023-02-12T18:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/survivant-e-s.lu\/?page_id=96"},"modified":"2026-04-10T10:43:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T08:43:03","slug":"a-propos","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/survivant-e-s.lu\/en\/a-propos\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHO ARE WE?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The association was created in August 2022.<br>It brings together survivors of sexual, gender-based, physical or psychological violence, as well as sympathetic members who support our cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OUR ASSOCIATION IS WORKING TO:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>break the taboos surrounding sexual, gender-based, physical and psychological violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reach out to isolated victims and refer them to professional services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>give a voice to those who have none by intervening in the legislative process and decision-making bodies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>take part in prevention initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OUR DEMANDS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The implementation of our<a href=\"https:\/\/survivant-e-s.lu\/en\/2025\/07\/03\/la-voix-des-survivantes-defend-ses-propositions-de-reforme-a-la-chambre-des-deputes\/\">57 reform proposals to combat gender-based violence and its impact on child co-victims<\/a>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up an independent commission on incest and violence against children, based on the initial model of the CIIVISE in France, to review the situation in Luxembourg.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen prevention initiatives in schools.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The strengthening of awareness-raising actions at every level of society.<br><br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chairperson<\/strong>: Ana Pinto ;<br><br><strong>Vice-Chairperson<\/strong>: Marie-Laure Rolland ;<br><br><strong>Secretary<\/strong>: Yvette Challe ;<br><br><strong>Treasurer<\/strong>: Jailza Dos Santos ;<br><br><strong>Other member<\/strong>: Annette Michels, St\u00e9phanie Makoumbou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OUR WORKING GROUPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Assistance and Listening Group:<\/strong><br>Volunteers respond to your requests by email at lvds.lux@gmail.com or via our social networks. We do not have a 24-hour helpline, but we try to respond as quickly as possible.<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prevention and Awareness Group:<\/strong><br>We share our experiences as survivors of violence with the secondary schools that contact us and we may take part in conferences or round tables on subjects related to sexual, gender-based, physical or psychological violence.<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Justice Group:<\/strong><br>We analyse shortcomings in the implementation of laws or measures to support victims in order to make concrete proposals to address them.<br>We monitor best practices in neighbouring countries and independent expert reports.<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication Group:<\/strong><br>We are present on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin) and spread the word about our actions and demands through targeted campaigns (such as I&#8217;M POSSIBLE).<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHO ARE WE?
